- Milan Linate (LIN)
- Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY)
Travel
- From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)Malpensa is the closest airport to Como, located just 45 minutes away by car.
You can rent a car from providers like Enterprise or Sixt directly at the airport
or arrange a private car service via your hotel. If you prefer public transport,
take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale station, where you can
connect to a train heading to Varenna- Esino. Alternatively, a direct taxi ride to
Varenna offers convenience. - From Milan Linate Airport (LIN)Linate is located closer to Milan’s city center, approximately 1 hour away from
Como by car. For a more budget-friendly option, travel to Milano Centrale by
bus or taxi, then catch a train to Varenna-Esino. The total travel time is
approximately 1.5 hours. - From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY)Bergamo is another option, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 15
minutes to Como by car. Private transfers and car rentals are available at the
airport. If you prefer public transport, take a bus or taxi to Bergamo station,
then connect to trains heading to Milano Centrale and onward to Varenna-
Esino. The total journey takes roughly 2 hours.
